Research directions: peach germplasm resources research, peach new variety breeding research, peach high-quality labor-saving cultivation technology research.

Main Achievements: Since the 12th Five-Year Plan, 7 new varieties, including Xiacui, Xiahui 6, Xiahui 8, Jinling Huanglu, Yuxia Flat Peach, etc., have been bred, and 5 varieties have been granted the right to breed. The bred varieties have been well popularized and applied in production and have achieved remarkable social and economic benefits. The lab has published more than 130 papers, 9 invention patents, 22 utility models patents and 11 Jiangsu local standards.  “Peach Quality and Labor-saving Cultivation Technology” has been enlisted, since 2015, into the Jiangsu Provincial Major Agricultural Technology Promotion Plan. In 2013, the “Peach Excellent Resources Exploration and Innovative Utilization” won the second prize of Jiangsu Province Science and Technology Progress Award. In 2017, the “Peach New Variety Breeding and Integration and Promotion of High Quality and Efficient Production Technology” won the second prize of the 8th Jiangsu Province Agricultural Technology Promotion Award.
