Germplasm resources; Fast propagation of virus-free seed; New and efficient cropping systems

Research achievements: 

1. formed 2 major extension technologies of Jiangsu Province, mechanized ridging & black film covering cultivation techniques for taro and lump yam; 

2. selected and breed a total of 11 new varieties including “Su Yu” series for taro and “Su Yu” series for yam; 

3. won 4 awards, authored 3 local standards of Jiangsu Province, obtained 8 national invention patents, and published more than 30 papers.
