Recently, the scientists of the Institute of Agricultural Facilities and Equipment invited 2 Japanese partners for academic exchanges.
Prof. BUNGO Takashi from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Okayama University of Science, Japan, was invited to give a presentation titled “Three Misconceptions in Thermoregulation”. Prof. BUNGO has long been engaged in the researchers of environmental physiology, behavioral physiology, nutritional physiology, etc. to solve various problems related to animal production.
Prof. Vishwajit Sur CHOWDHURY was invited to give a presentation titled “A novel heat stress bio-marker amino acid, L-citrulline, attenuates heat stress response in chickens”. Prof. CHOWDHURY works in the Laboratory of Functional Anatomy, Department of Animal and Marine Biological Sciences, Graduate School of Bioresource and Bioenvironmental Science, Faculty of Arts and Science, Kyushu University, Japan. Prof. CHOWDHURY focuses on the research area of nutritional physiology on central and peripheral regulation of stress response, body temperature and food intake in avian and fish (neurochemical and metabolic regulations).
