Prof. Johnson Lin from UKZN invited to Institute of Food Safety and Nutrition for academic exchanges

Prof. Johnson Lin from School of Life Sciences, University of KwaZulu-Natal (UKZN), was invited to visit the Institute of Food Safety and Nutrition and gave an academic report on the Frontiers in Safety and Nutrition Forum. Xu Jianhong, the deputy director of the Institute, presided over the academic meeting.

 

Prof. Johnson Lin introduced the cooperation and exchanges between the UKZN and JAAS, as well as the historical background and development of the UKZN. Prof. Lin presented an academic report titled "Saving the Environment–using the little things" and introduced how to enrich and isolate microorganisms from the natural environment for environmental remediation, and focused on the optimization of pollution remediation reaction conditions, the analysis of active substances and the exploration of potential applications. The researchers of the Institute of Food Safety and Nutrition had full discussions with Prof. Lin about the environmental remediation. Further cooperation plans were also discussed during the visit.
