The Institute of Agricultural Information is innovation- and service-oriented. It carries out agricultural information technology research, application and service to meet the technical needs in information technology in agriculture.
Major research areas include smart agriculture, agrometeorology, agricultural remote sensing monitoring, integrated application of remote sensing, agricultural science and technology information service as well as agricultural science popularization.
Platforms hosted or led by the Institute include Nanjing Branch of Remote Sensing Application Center of Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, Jiangsu Agricultural Data Intelligent Engineering Research Center.
