1. Research on Agricultural Industry Economy

Focusing on the vegetable industry, conduct researches on industrial organization, industrial layout, production efficiency, technological progress and industrial convergence development around the construction of modern agricultural industrial system, production system and management system.

2. Research on Regional Agricultural and Rural Development

Mainly includes the researches on regional coordinated development and urban-rural integration development, Jiangsu rural revitalization strategy, land policy and rural collective property rights system, etc.

3. Research and Preparation of Agricultural Planning

Mainly includes the development of modern agricultural development and planning research, agricultural development master plan, industrial planning, park planning, industry special planning, agricultural park creation scheme and feasibility study report of major agricultural projects.

Research Team:

There are totally 11 scientific and technical staffs in the research lab, including 7 permanent academic staffs, 3 non-permanent staffs, 1 postdoctoral staff, 1 professor, 4 associate professors, 2 assistant professors, and 2 research interns. Among the team members, there is 1 vegetable industry economic post expert of modern agricultural industry technology system in Jiangsu Province, 3 principal experts at the Decision-making Consulting Base for Jiangsu Agricultural Science and Technology Innovation and 2 national registered consultants.

Research Highlight:

In recent years, focusing on the moderate scale management of rural land and the reform of rural collective property rights system, the research lab has carried out a series of researches and be entrusted 1 project by the National Social Science Foundation of China; published many papers in professional journals, won 1 third prize of Provincial Government Research Award and 2 second prizes of the Academy Social Science Award.

In the past three years, based on completing the relevant special investigation and research tasks entrusted by the government, it has developed more than 70 regional, industry and enterprise development plans and issued over 30 feasibility study reports on the planning, design, consultation and demonstration of major agricultural projects. With great technical strength, the lab has won the praise of the clients and local government.
