Research achievements:

Ever since its establishment, the team managed to have its high-efficiency ecological cultivation techniques adopted in major tea-producing areas in southern, central and northern Jiangsu Province.  The Research Lab has successively presided over and undertaken 1 sub-project of National Key R&D Plan, 3 projects of the National Natural Science Fund, 1 project of the Jiangsu Natural Science Fund, 4 projects of the Jiangsu Agricultural Science and Technology Independent Innovation Fund, and 3 projects of the Central Fiscal Promotion Program. The lab has published 22 papers, including 7 SCI papers, applied 5 patents, obtained 3 authorizations and created 1 technical standard for tea garden cultivation and management. In light of the soil characteristics and tea production features in each region, a technical model of reducing fertilizer application and increasing efficiency for tea gardens in this region was established. The corresponded technical regulations were also established. Through process and product innovation, one set of Jiangsu characteristic black tea production process was formed; two specialty black tea products and two matcha tea products were trial-produced.
