Comparative Analysis of Technical Efficiency of Moderate Land Scale Management - A Case Study of 3 Typical Models in Jiangsu Province

The most representative agricultural moderate scale management models in Jiangsu Province are the family farm cluster model in Suqian City, the joint tillage and cultivation model in Yancheng City and the land lease cooperatives land using right leaseback model in Suzhou City. In this study, the technical efficiency of the three management models was compared on four input factors: land input, labor input, means of production, machinery and fixed costs. The results showed that the comprehensive efficiency of rice moderate scale management in Jiangsu Province was higher than that of petty-farmer management and was significant in scale effect. The planting efficiency of wheat was reduced, the technical efficiency of scale planting was relatively low, and the production management level required further improvement. In the case of low investment in human capital, the effect of capital input was not obvious. The family farm cluster model had the most significant advantage in the comprehensive production technology efficiency.
