The Institute of Agricultural Economics and Development undertakes agricultural economics research and agricultural planning based on the needs of modern agricultural development in Jiangsu and even the whole country.

 The Institute has four research teams respectively engaged in industrial economics, agricultural science and technology development and policies, rural development, rural management and human resources development .
