Dr. Philip R. Hardwidge of Department of Diagnostic Medicine/Pathobiology, Kansas State University was invited to give a lecture at the Institute of Veterinary Medicine of JAAS.

Dr. Philip R. Hardwidge has long been committed to the research of prevention and treatment of Escherichia coli-caused diarrhea. He discovered a new molecular mechanism of host-destroyer congenital immune system, which could promote bacteria colonization and transmission.

Dr. Philip R. Hardwidge gave a lecture on "Enterotoxigenic E. coli adhesion to host cells: the role of the pathogen and the host", and had an in-depth discussion on some academic issues with JAAS scientists.
