A delegation of thirteen people from East of England (the counties of Essex, Suffolk and Norfolk) led by Cllr. Sue Lissimore visited JAAS on April 1, 2014.
The counties of Essex, Suffolk and Norfolk in the East of England offer one of the most advanced life science sectors in the world and have particular strengths in biotechnology, genetics research, and food research, etc., which resemble and complement JAAS research areas in a good sense.
JAAS President Yan Shaohua and Vice President Chang Youhong received the guests and briefed the history and latest research progress of JAAS to them. They hoped to carry out practical exchange and collaboration with relevant research institutions in East of England. Both sides agreed to establish mutual understanding and collaboration with the coordination of Foreign Affairs Office of Jiangsu Provincial People’s Government and Nanjing Office of Essex County Council.
