JAAS held the Seventh Fun Sports Games

The Seventh Fun Sports Games was successfully held at JAAS on April 28, 2014. There were over 600 participants from 22 union branches from different divisions and institutes. In addition to 6 traditional events, this year, another 3 fun games were added.

The players gathered at the playground of the Institute of Food Crops at 14:00 pm and all events started in different arenas after Prof. Zhou Jiannong, vice president of JAAS and chairman of JAAS Union, announced the opening of the sport games.

The participants in the “volleyball enclosure game” tried every means to kick the ball into the enclosed area with a stick in their hands. The added 3 new fun games, “hu-la hoop pass-round without your hands”, “two bodies, three feet”, and “silk- ball-throwing game”, demanded unity and tacit cooperation among the team members. The whole playground rang with cheers and screams. Most of the players were not only individual athletes but also team event members.

After two hours of competition, the winners of all events were determined and the fun sports games came to an end. The activity provided a chance for JAAS staff to keep physically active and energetic, and at the same time, enhanced unity and cohesion. All players looked forward for the eighth fun sports games in 2015.
