42 members of Codex Committee on Pesticide Residues (CCPR) visited JAAS

 
42 CCPR (Codex Committee on Pesticide Residues) members from over 30 countries, regions and organizations visited the Institute of Food Safety and Monitoring and Lishui Plant Sciences Station of JAAS on May 9, 2014.
 
CCPR is one of ten comprehensive committees of CAC (Codex Alimentarius Commission), and is also a committee with much emphasis and attention. The maximum limits for pesticide residues established by CCPR covered nearly all agro-products in crops planting, animal raising and food processing. Approved by CCPR, the limits and relevant rules have been recognized by World Trade Organization as the ultimate arbitration in problems concerning agro-products and animal feeding stuffs moving in international trade.
 

 
The 46th annual meeting of CCPR, which was coordinated by JAAS, was successfully held in Nanjing from May 5 to 10, 2014. The visit of the CCPR members to JAAS also has a positive impact on enhancing the international influence of JAAS and promoting further academic exchanges.
