Prof. Shigenori MAEZAWA of Gifu University made an academic visit to the Institute of Agro-products Processing (IAP) of JAAS on March 6, 2014. IAP Director Liu Chunquan hosted the reception.
Prof. Shigenori MAEZAWA is a fellow of agro-products fresh-keeping and circulation, including the circulation process of fresh food, preservation measures and circulation structure. He also takes the chair of Agribusiness Certification Committee of Central Japan Economy and Industry Bureau as well as many other social positions.
During his visit to JAAS, Prof. Shigenori MAEZAWA gave a lecture on the status quo of fresh food circulation and wholesale market in Japan. He covered four aspects in fresh food industry, including the difficulties, history, development and technology innovation. He also took citrus fruit as an example to show the elite fresh-keeping and processing techniques in Japan. Both sides held extensive discussions on relevant hot issues and possible cooperation.
