MoA Released Census Results on Grain Quality at JAAS

 
Hosted by Rice Product Quality Supervision and Inspection Center of Ministry of Agriculture (MoA, P.R.China) and undertaken by the Institute of Food Safety and Monitoring of JAAS, a meeting to analyze and summarize grain quality inspection results was held at JAAS from Oct. 26 to 27, 2013.
 
Director Zeng Qing of Bureau of Quality & Safety Supervision for Ago-products, MOA, Deputy Director Qian Yongzhong of the Center for Agri-food Quality and Safety, MOA, Academician Cheng Shunhe of Chinese Academy of Engineering and other senior rice, wheat and plant protection scientists attended the meeting. They discussed the existing problems in major crops grain quality control and proposed some suggestions to amend the current Grain Quality Safety Index and relevant process control technical specifications.
 
Carried out in the major rice and wheat planting areas, the grain quality census helps to discover problems in real agricultural production and to put forward timely warnings and effective solutions.
