In his "Achieving excellent blackleg and clubroot resistance in canola using known R genes" lecture, he introduced the problems of Canadian and Chinese canola breeding, the occurrence of blackleg and clubroot diseases, and the method and research progress of map-based cloning of resistance genes, etc.. After the lecture, Prof. Li had an in-depth discussion with JAAS scientists on some academic problems in canola and cotton disease research.
