Deputy Governor Huang Lixin made an academic visit to JAAS

Ms. Huang Lixin, standing member of Jiangsu Provincial Committee and deputy governor of Jiangsu Province, led a delegation for an academic visit to the Agricultural Hi-Tech Industrial Park Zone (AHTIPZ) of JAAS, which was under construction in Baima Town, Lishui County.
 
The delegation included Deputy Secretary-in-Chief Chen Shaoze of Nanjing Municipal Government Committee, and Deputy Mayor Chen Weijian of Nanjing Municipal Government, chiefs from the Bureau of Agriculture and Forestry, Bureau of Science and Technology, Bureau of Education, Bureau of National Property Resources, and some agriculture universities and other research institutions.
 

 
During the seminar, Deputy Governor Huang Lixin stressed that the purpose and significance of establishing the Agricultural Hi-Tech Industrial Park Zone (AHTIPZ) should spur the rapid and responsible development of Jiangsu agricultural economics. The construction of AHTIPZ is an effort made by Jiangsu Provincial Committee and the provincial government to perform agriculture modernization in the whole Jiangsu Province until the year of 2010.
 
Jiangsu has dedicated unprecedented education stufy resources to secure agricultural production, and has the advantage in motivating agriculture modernization in the whole province. AHTIPZ should be developed into a leading research and demo station in Jiangsu and China as a whole. As a research center, it should assist science and technology innovations and agriculture industry development. On the other hand, AHTIPZ should exhibit the achievements, provide relevant trainings and open for sightseeing and recreations to function as a demo station. In this way, AHTIPZ is scientifically and technologically competent while industrially motivating and comprehensively efficient.
 
The construction of AHTIPZ should be reinforced by JAAS administration with accordance with the government regulations and the market operation rules.
