Agriculture Consulting Team (ACT) held outreach activities in Zhangjiagang

 
On the occasion of the launching ceremony of Zhangjiagang Modern Agriculture Research Center (ZMARC) and the experiment station of agriculture research institutions, the Agriculture Consulting Team (ACT) held outreach activities to extend their latest research results and provide a free counseling service for the farmers on the afternoon of May 19, 2011.
 

 
Vice Governor Cao Weixing of Jiangsu Province, Vice President Zheng Jianchu of Jiangsu Academy of Agricultural Sciences (JAAS), Vice President Zhang Mingsheng from Zhejiang Academy of Agricultural Sciences (ZAAS) and other scientists and professors from Shanghai Academy of Agricultural Sciences (SAAS) and Nanjing Agriculture University (NAU) attended the launching ceremony. The ceremony marked an official start-up of ZMARC and the experiment station of agriculture research institutions.
 

 
As an experiment and demo station of the ACT, ZMARC will fully demonstrate the research results of the JAAS, ZAAS and SAAS. By now, it has already established several production stations, including 25,000 mu for high quality rice, 2,000 mu for facility vegetables, 2,200 mu for aquiculture, 4,500 mu for horticulture and 2,300 mu for other industrial crops.
