JAAS Vice President Zhou Jiannong Attended the Opening Ceremony of JAAS Spring Buds Program in Huaihai Middle School

The second round of JAAS Spring Buds project kicked off in Huaihai Middle School on November 15, 2010. Vice President Zhou Jiannong, Vice Chairman of Jiangsu Child Welfare Fund Lin Minduan, Vice President of Huai'an Women's Federation Gu Yuhong and Deputy Director of Huaiyin District of the city of Huai'an Qiu Huakang attended the opening ceremony.
 
Vice President Zhou Jiannong hoped that these girl students from less fortunate families could be confident and self-reliant. She also encouraged them to have positive life orientation and to treat the present economic difficulties as the wealth of life. Knowledge will equip the girls to become knowledgeable and capable women.. They will fulfill the dream and make more contributions to the society.
 
On behalf on JAAS, Vice President Zhou Jiannong donated to 30 girl students with economic difficulties in Huaihai Middle School. She unveiled the plaque to open the new class of JAAS Spring Buds project and was conferred the letter of appointment as after-school counselor.
 
Spring Buds project is an important measure taken by Jiangsu Child Welfare Fund to help girl students from less fortunate families to complete high middle school education. JAAS has donated 300,000 yuan and planned to open 3 classes during 3 years. The first JAAS Spring Buds class opened in Batan Middle School, in Binhai County in north Jiangsu.
