Pasture program under the “Eleventh-Five Year Plan” State Science and Technology Support Plan Launched in Nanjing
Recently (at the latter part of April to be exact), the launching ceremony regarding the program Refined Highly Resistant Warm Temperate Zone Pasture New Variety Breeding and Industrialization Demonstration in the framework of the “Eleventh-Five Year Plan” State Science and Technology Support Plan was held in JAAS. Over ten pasture specialists from the institutes along the Yangtze River attended the ceremony. The program was designated by the Ministry of Science and Technology of China and organized by JAAS and was jointly implemented by a great many institutions including Sichuan Agricultural University, Nanjing Agricultural University, Hubei Academy of Agricultural Sciences, Chongqing Academy of Animal Sciences, Yangzhou University, Wuhan University, and Southwest University etc.
On the launching ceremony, researcher Gu Hongru introduced in details the program background, overall planning, objective and assignment and division of labor and specified the requirements for the partners involved. The person-in-charge of each research group briefed the assigned tasks. And related agreements were signed regarding the program implementation and management. Thanks to the ceremony, the specialists present reached a consensus, clarified the assignments and laid a solid foundation to smoothly implement the program in the future.
