The Institute of Food Crops (IFC) held academic lectures delivered by young scientists on January 17. Focusing on the research programs they undertook, 28 young scientists at the age below 40 gave academic lectures and over 70 attendees, including all the scientists of IFC and graduate students, were present at the lectures.

Selected by all the members in the academic committee of IFC and the other attendees, 2 scientists (Mr. Chen Tao, Mr. Wang Jun) won the first prize, 5 scientists (Mr. Ma Peiyong, Mr. Zhang Yadong, Ms. Zhu Yin, Mr. Zhao Qingyong, Ms. Yao Shu) the second prize and 8 scientists (Ms. Wu Yan, Mr. Li Huayong, Ms. Zhou Lihui, Ms. Lin Jing, Ms. Wang Yanping, Ms. Zhang Qiaofeng, Mr. Zhu Zhen, Mr. Fan Fangjun, Ms. Yang Juan) the third prize.
 
To further promote the study and work abroad and strengthen academic exchanges, IFC also held a meeting for returnee reports on the afternoon of January 17. 6 returnees (Ms. Shen Qi, Mr. Chen Zhide, Ms. Chen Yanping, Ms. Wang Yanping, Mr. Yan Wei, Ms. Dai Jian) reported their study and research experience in the Netherlands, Japan, Mexico, Australia and the US, and shared their work with their colleagues. All the scientists of IFC attended the meeting.
