JAAS Holds Seminar on Recompiling Agricultural Modeling

The seminar on recompiling the book--Agricultural Modeling was held on February 22 at the Institute of Agricultural Economy and Information of JAAS. Agricultural models serve as the basis and core for digital agriculture and it is necessary that Agricultural Modeling should be recompiled to include all the related theories, methodologies, technologies and achievements and further promote the development of this discipline itself and digital agriculture as well. Present at the seminar were over 20 experts, scholars and directors from a number of universities, research institutions and a publishing house including China Agricultural University, the Institute of Atmospheric Physics at Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), Nanjing Institute of Soil Sciences under CAS, Nanjing Agricultural University, Nanjing University of Information Science and Technology, Henan Agricultural University, Henan Academy of Agricultural Sciences, China Meteorological Press and JAAS. The attendees exchanged information on the latest progress in this field and the relevant research conducted both at home and abroad, talked about plans for future development and had in-depth discussions about the outline of the book and contents. Professor Gao Liangzhi, former president of JAAS, presided over the seminar.
