JAAS honored as Research Station for Jiangsu Policy-making Consultation and Agricultural Science& Technology Innovation
The convention for the founding of Research Stations for Jiangsu Policy-making Consultation was held on November 20, 2011. Director Yang Xinli of Publicity Department of Jiangsu Provincial CPC Party Committee, Deputy Governor Xu Ming, Vice Chairman Zhang Jiuhan of Jiangsu Provincial People's Political Consultative Conference were invited to the convention. JAAS was honored as Research Station for Jiangsu Policy-making Consultation and Agricultural Science& Technology Innovation. Secretary Zhao Xihua of JAAS CPC Party Committee attended the meeting and was conferred the plague for research station and the letter of appointment as chief scientist.
 
The founding of Research Stations for Jiangsu Policy-making Consultation is an important measure of Jiangsu Provincial Government to promote and deepen cultural construction. The research station will serve as a consultation platform and an efficient mechanism for sustainable social development in Jiangsu. Such a platform and mechanism can help the provincial government and CPC Party Committee to make scientific decisions, help the research institutes to extend their research results and help philosophy and social science to become to drive for science and technology development. Since August, 2011, more than top-ranked 50 universities, CPC Party Schools and research institutions have applied for the Research Station, and more than 30 provincial government sectors have applied joint proposals. After evaluation by the experts from the Central Finance Office and Party School of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, 26 research stations were approved and established.
  
Deputy Governor Xu Ming proposed the scientists should center round the guidelines of the Twelfth CPC Party Congress of Jiangsu Province and the situation of basic realization of modernization, analyze emerging problems and sum up the experiences and put forward suggestions.
