JAAS key laboratories and observatories listed in the list of “the Twelfth Five-year Plan Period” Key Laboratory System Construction of the Ministry of Agriculture (MoA, P. R. China)
 
Meeting was held in Beijing by the Ministry of Agriculture (MoA) to initiate the key laboratory system construction. MoA Deputy Minister Zhang Taolin and other directors of National Development and Reform Commission, Ministry of Science and Technology, key laboratories of MoA attended the meeting. The meeting interpreted the development plans of MoA key laboratory system construction from 2010 to 2015 and announced the list of MoA key laboratories and observatories and other regulations. The meeting pointed out that the construction goal of MoA key laboratory system is to form an integrated laboratory network instead of separate laboratories. Integrated laboratories will take the lead and regional (or specialty) key laboratories will become the backbones in 2015. The listed 228 key laboratories and 269 observatories of 30 discipline groups cover the major agricultural disciplines, and among them there are 6 key laboratories and 5 observatories from JAAS.
