Dr. Qian Jianfei, instructor of the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center and JAAS visiting professor of immunology, was invited to give a lecture on Cancer Immunotherapy with DNA Vaccine at the Institute of Veterinary Medicine (IVM) from February 13 to 15, 2012.
Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center is one of the most comprehensive and competent cancer research and treatment center in the U.S.A. In recent years, thanks to the achievement of the Center in cancer research and clinical studies, it has become the most influential cancer treatment and research center worldwide. Dr. Qian Jianfei has long been engaged in cancer researches, with fruitful achievements in cancer immunotherapy with DNA vaccine. More than 60 scientists and postgraduates from IVM and National Research Center of Veterinary Biologicals Engineering and Technology attended the lecture.
Dr. Qian introduced in his lecture the general research situation of cancer immunotherapy with DNA vaccine, focused on the clinical treatment and research methodology in the 1st, 2nd, 3rd stage of cancer. He also held in-depth discussion with JAAS scientists on immunosuppressants.
Dr. Qian maintained that, as a visiting professor of JAAS, he would carry out frequent communication with JAAS scientists. During his visit, JAAS Vice Presidents Lu Xiaoxi and Chang Youhong met with Dr. Qian.
