Prof. Makoto Miyata from Osaka City University was invited to give a lecture on A Novel Motility, Mycoplasma Gliding at the Institute of Veterinary Medicine on February 22, 2012.
Prof. Makoto Miyata has been engaged in the researches of mycoplasma motility for 15 years. In his lecture, which was delivered in an easy-to-understand way, he introduced the structure form, relevant proteins, morphological changes and the unique movement mechanism of motile mycoplasma. The attendants held an in-depth and heated discussion with Prof. Makoto Miyata. The lecture was of significance to the research of micromorphology and the structure & function of micro-organism.
After the lecture, Prof. Makoto Miyata held exchanges with JAAS researchers on mycoplasma motility and micro structure and he also provided relevant materials and video to the researchers as a gift. He invited JAAS scientists to visit his lab and express him enthusiasm of academic communication with JAAS.
