JAAS Vice President Chang Youhong called for an innovative workforce and research alliance and presented his requirements for the research of saline agriculture programs, including cash crops, oil crops, energy plants and salt-tolerant vegetables. He also hoped the program leaders to make full use of the grants from Jiangsu Agriculture Support Programs and Independent Innovation Fund and the research results of demo stations. The program research teams are expected to enhance influence and form 1 or 2 famous brands.
Prof. Yi Jinxin, PI of the program, made a detailed work report for the past one year. Representatives from JAAS, Jiangsu Agricultural University, Yancheng Institute of Agricultural Sciences and Xuzhou Institute of Agricultural Sciences made separate reports on their undertaking sub-programs.
