Two research programs of National Agricultural Science and Technology (Jiangsu) Innovation Center passed acceptance checks

An evaluation group consisting of academicians, professors and senior scientists made academic evaluations on the two research programs Genetic Improvement Laboratory of High Value Horticultural Crops and Research Center of Resource Utilization of Agricultural Wastes on December 14, 2011. The evaluation meeting was chaired by Director Jing Mao of Jiangsu Science and Technology Office and attended by JAAS Vice President Yu Wengui, Director Huang Jun of Research Management Division and program participants.
 
The experts audited appraisal on R&D reports and visited the research lab and center to conduct onsite check. After inquiry and discussion, the experts agreed that the programs passed acceptance checks. The experts proposed the two programs carry out applied researches and applied basic researches, strengthen talent training with current platforms and further improve infrastructure construction.
 
National Agricultural Science and Technology (Jiangsu) Innovation Center was established in 2006 and has constructed 4 programs (platforms): Engineering Research Center for Agricultural Products Processing, Agricultural Products Safety Laboratory, Genetic Improvement Laboratory of High Value Horticultural Crops and Research Center of Resource Utilization of Agricultural Wastes. Engineering Research Center for Agricultural Products Processing and Agricultural Products Safety Laboratory passed acceptance checks in 2010. The successful acceptance checks of the four programs opens up a good beginning for the coming new programs.
