He has long been engaged in the research of pig production technology，animal genetics and breeding. He has undertaken nearly 40 national and provincialresearch projects. He has won 2 provincial and ministerial awards. He is also the main contributor of the breeding of a new breed "Sushan Pig" and the invention of a mobile pig-raising system, etc. He has published more than 150 research papers and 7 books. He has obtained 20 patents and presided over the drafting of 5 pig production technical standards.
